hey yall, my dad saw my with my new iBook and he thought it was pretty cool with the desktop widgets and voice commands, etcs. so hes thinking of buying a powerbook. he says he'll use it for buisness. he might burn things though somehow i doubt that. do you think i should tell him to get the combodrive and an external drive (that i can use too =))? or just get it alltogether?

EDIT: so i went on babbling in that paragraph. main point, which one should i get?

If it were me ide ask him how much he plans on burning. If he thinks hes going to burn a ton of stuff then it might be helpful to have the superdrive. But if he's only going to burn a few cds every now and then, then it might be helpful to have the combo drive and an external burner. So I guess it all depends on how much burning is actually going to be taking place. The plus side to the external is you could get a dual layer burner and that would be awesome. This isnt much insight, im sure the people on these boards will have some better opinions. I just think it depends on how much burning he is going to do. Hope this helps.

Also does he have a PC counterpart for burning? I'm trying to weight that in my mind myself. I could get the combo drive and just use my PC to burn files, assuming I can transfer between the two
