but screen black , when I plug in my 23" apple screen both arel still blank is it possible the graphic card is out advice would be of help |

I had this exact problem. Went to wake it up from sleep and the display never turned back on. If this is the problem and you have the 8600m GT in your MBP, then you will need to take it to an Apple Store and they will replace the logic board for free. Some of those graphics chips fail prematurely, and Apple is taking care of it because the NVidia chips were defective from the manufacturing. Keep us updated on it.
