MacBookPro BLUE SCREEN SHUTDOWN

Hey ppl, I'm a new mac user. Got my MBP about a month ago and its all good but recently everytime I shutdown it takes forever and just has a blank blue screen showing, is there anyway to get rid of this or speed it up?

If you are you shutting down with applications running, this may have something to do with it!
I would run OnyX and use the automation tab which will repair your disk permissions while cleaning up your mac too.
Also, install the 10.6.3 Combo Update
Post back and let us know how you go
