Wireless card becomes worse than before

Hello,

I have an Airport Extreme wireless card on my Macbook. It used to scans further distance network whereas my wireless card now is worse than before. My friend's computer have the same card but better than mine. It happened after i upgrade to snow leopard. Any ideas
