I have the 13 inch macbook pro and just got the plug in that lights up your keyboard in sync with your music in itunes. I heard a rumor this wears out your bulb in the keyboard. is this true?

here is where i got it from

Use it all the time and let us know.

My guess, after the novelty wears off in a few days or so you won't be using it much anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not a "bulb", it's an LED. LEDs are rated for thousands of hours. Having your backlit keyboard light up while your music is playing is the same as having it light up when music isn't playing.

So, after reading about it I had to try it.

Why am I so amused by this?
