Not sure if I'm doing this in the right place. First time ever in a forum.
Am I in the right place?
Here goes: My MacBook Pro's trackpad seems "stuck."
The arrow moves but it does not "click."
I think I have the settings set correctlyt). Is it broken hardware or a screw loose in the User (me)?
Can anyone help me avoid finding a Mac repairman in this Border Town!

I am having the exact same problem. Have you found a way to fix it yet?

Yeah, I did.
BAD NEWS: The battery was "swollen." Literally. Thus it was pressing up, and jammed the trackpad from below. It also was pressing outward and I did not put two and two together. When I slid the computer on the table there was a "scrapping." It was the battery door, pushed out. I just didn't pick up on this clue.
Finally I did take it to a repair place, they noticed, immediately, the battery was "swollen." The solution was simple: buy a new battery.
GOOD NEWS: Popped it in there, trackpad was back in business instantly.
Weird problem! Why me? C'est la vie (was going to need a battery eventually anyway, right?). Hope this helps.

I had the same problem a while back, but only a 2 inch problem all the way top to bottom of the screen, cost me 445euro to have the screen replaced.
