I have Macbook Pro and consider to share RAM with my brother (he has Dell XPS 4GB (2x2G) and I only have Mac with 2GB (1x1G).
So we want to share these RAM together, but my question is can the Mac run dual channel with 3GB (2G+1G).
I read on the Dell, it is Ok the run Dual channel with 3GB(2G+1G).

Any help, pls. My budget is out of the 4GB kit. Thanks

You shouldn't use unmatched memory!
You're looking at roughly $100 for the 2x2GB kit, so just wait until you can afford it!
