RAM for Macbook Pro 13 Uni: 2G+1G, is it possible?

So we want to share these RAM together, but my question is can the Mac run dual channel with 3GB (2G+1G). I read on the Dell, it is Ok the run Dual channel with 3GB(2G+1G). Any help, pls. My budget is out of the 4GB kit. Thanks
