I will be attending college this summer and am purchasing an ibook. Should I get a refurbished one? Where is the best deal? I am getting the 14 inch model.

i would definitely look on apple's site for the refurbished ones or if you don't really mind i would seriously consider looking on the 'FOR SALE' section on the board. lately it's been looking like you can get a smoking deal!

ExperCom

You could try any one of those places, I personally don't have any experience
with them but thats where I looked for a refurbed iBook, in the end I got one from
a forum member.

Once you go Mac, you'll never go back.

Yea, there's a lot of people selling their recently-bought iBooks for cheap in hoping that they will then be able to get a Powerbook instead.

If you are attending college you'll get a student discount, it is pretty decent. Are you looking to get an older model or like a used current model?

i would assume the best place to get a good refurbished ibook would be the apple.com website. i do second the notion of comparing the price of a new ibook @ the student discount price vs. a refurb. But if the refurb comes with tiger I would say go for the refurb.
