Keyboard goes off when itunes closes

so guys this has been an issue with me since yesterday, i discovered that once i close itunes, the keyboard light goes off and i have to press the f6 button(the +ve button for the illuminating keyboard) to make it on again, so anybody had this issue before?

i forgot to say its a MBP (mid '09)
