Haven't dropped it, but it's been going crazy. It will turn into this "broken screen" looking screen. As I open up applications it "erases" it. then happens again about 5 minutes later.

So much for mac reliability. We have a imac that does the same. Im tired of mac's giving me problems. It's been non-stop. Only good thing is they look cool with the little light up keyboard and junk.

TIA

Can you please give a little more detail as to what it is that is actually happening, and when it is happening?
Specs, version of OS X, and how old is your MBP?
Also, what if any troubleshooting have you performed?

It helps with the specs and the approx. age of it, but not the rest of my questions.
so as well as the rest of my questions, is it still under warranty?
Meanwhile, in preference to waiting for these answers, try the following.

1) Basic OS X/Mac Troubleshooting
2) hardware test from your install disc
3) About the Mac OS X v10.5.8 Update

*I'm happy with my Macs giving me no problems. Had nothing but reliability, and if I hadn't, I'd have addressed any issues, and if was unable to resolve them, I'd have had Apple address the issues.
Sounds like you've had a bad run.... but don't forget your days on PCs
