Our Hockey club purchased a new Macbook pro 15" last week to replace another two year old one that was badly damaged. We were connecting our cannon DV20a or Sony FX1 cameras to the old Macbook pro with a 400 6 to 4 pin cable. The new macbook pro came with a 800 9 pin port. So we then ordered a 9 pin to 4 pin cable. That came today. But it won't recognize a camera is connected.
We can hook up a lacie drive to it with a 9 pin to 9 pin cable. works no problem. Then we can hook up one of the cameras to the lacie drive 4 pin to 4 pin cable. It finds the camera and we can capture no problem. But take that drive out and hook direct with the 9 pin to 4 pin (800 to 400) cable and no camera recognition. Any idea what I can do to get this working. We really rely on this system on a daily basis. |
