having problem with iChat

I have iChat running and when I'm trying to start video chat with my wife it closes, vice versa. I had her restart her stupid Dell. If I IM her it works fine but as soon as I start the video chat a error screen pops up

Since I've always found iChat to be iffy with essentially all methods of chatting, I use Skype instead for video chatting. Also, the video feed on iChat is skewed and stretched.

sucks..sorry asked this question alot...but I finally found a fix for it and that didnt do anything...thanks
