So I have searched through this forum and havent found my exact question so any help would be great.
I want to upgrade my wifes harddrive on her Macbook 1.83ghz. It currently has a 60G disk and I want to go to like 250G. The first question is this harddrive I found on newegg going to work?

Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

And secondly she has another external that she will back up to with time machine. Will that with the leopard OS disc be all we need to get everthing on to the new harddrive?

THx

I just did almost exactly the same thing, I used Super duper to clone my 60 gig hdd to a 250 wd drive, switched out the drives and that was it

As JDML mentioned, in addition to Time Machine you will need to create a bootable clone of your 60gb hard drive too. Using either SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC). It's for safety sake in case for whatever reason you can not boot up the new drive with your install disc. Enjoy the new HDD!
