I own a MacBookPro1,1 with a Intel Core Duo Processor Speed 1.83 GHz and wanted to upgrade the hard drive. Does anyone know what is the max I could go (internal)?

I should add, and I could be wrong, but I believe for the 2.5" 9.5mm that you need 500GB will be the max.
Also, it is not going to be an easy task to install it, but will be doable.
