How do you connect to your modem? Is it wireless or ethernet?

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Reboot the router. Unplug and plug back in - Always the first thing you should do before looking further into a problem

OK. Connected the Mac directly to one of the Ethernet ports on the back of the router and disable the Airport connection. Is it faster? If so, then we've isolated it to the wireless connection, if not, then we know it's something with your Internet Service Provider or a software issue with your Mac.

Hard to say why that is without knowing the actual source of the problem. Once we can isolate it, we can better conjecture as to the cause.

What about Ethernet as I mentioned previously?
