Replacing mouse pad

I have somehow put a noticeable dent right in the middle of my mouse pad on my MBP. Although I am still within the three years on my apple care, I understand that this would not be covered. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost me to have it replaced through Apple?

according to GSX, $45 from Apple. Unsure when they charge for labor.

How do you know it's not covered in applecare?
