I've had my MBP for 2-3 years now and haven't had this problem up until a few days ago. The computer is telling me the battery is fully charged yet when I unplug the charger it says I have 10 minutes of un-corded life left. I am lucky to even get ten minutes until the computer suddenly turns off - not just going to sleep but fully shutting down.
Thanks in advance for any help provided. |

from there it will tell you all you are looking for .. The "magic" number for batt cycles is somewhere between 200 and 300 hundred on those older types. It will also give you a condition level. Hope this helps Clay MY ADVICE COMES WITH A DOUBLE YOUR MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! |

My previous battery was on 360ish cylcles and was lasting barely an hour. Got a new one last week (3rd party) and it has more capacity than the OEM one and cost $99 instead of $160.
Replace yours and you will be trouble free....unless your charging adapter is messed up. |

You should try resetting the system management controller. Here are the directions,
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) You should bookmark it too. Good luck! Resetting the SMC can help with lots of problems. Last edited by iggibar; 01-09-2010 at 03:58 PM. |

Where are you from? If battdepot.ca ships to you, they are great and priced really well. $68 for the battery and $45 for the charger instead of $100 - I bought a charger from them the other day.
I bought my 3rd party battery from MacStation Vancouver for $99 before I discovered battdepot.ca and they are great too. |
