Will a powerbook g4 be able to connect to an external monitor if the hard drive doesn't work?

had accident and don't have screen but I think that HD is out and maybe the rest is good.

If the computer doesn't boot to OS X you will not see the external monitor

can I do something using a good powerbook and conecting via firewire? what can I do there?

Nothing. Without a working hard drive or monitor the powerbook is pretty much useless
