AppleCare Protection Plan cover on batterys

I have a 15" mac book pro that brought August/September 08, and my bettery status has started to say replace soon. does the AppleCare Protection Plan cover the battery or not?

If your battery is only a little over a year old and is telling you to have it replaced, then that is a likely indicator that you are looking at a faulty battery. If that's the case, then AppleCare will cover it and replace the battery.

I've had something similar happen to me recently where I had a faulty battery and after running a quick diagnostic, the Apple Store simply swapped it out for a new one on the spot.

How many charge - recharge cycles has your battery undergone? If the battery already has say, 300 cycles on it, Apple considers the battery to have gone through its useful life. In that case, they may or may not replace it under warranty.
