I recently purchased a mini DVI adapter for my macbook so that I could watch movies on my tv. I use vga cables to connect my mac to the tv and I noticed that every time I watch a movie using the adapter the video starts to skip and lag behind the audio. Sometimes up to a few seconds behind the audio. I really have no clue what I'm doing wrong or what is the problem.

Now it could very well be a problem with the file. I've heard of users who are into torrenting movies who downloaded a file that has the audio slightly off which is caused during the conversion process. Now does the movie work perfect when you aren't hooked up to the TV and simply just watching it on your macbook?
