Hey,
After a long wait, I've finally ordered my first Mac last monday =D
I figured now as time as any would be a good time to join the forum !!

I've ordered a 17" MacBook Pro with the upgraded 500GB 7200rpm hard-drive, 4GB RAM, glossy screen, pre-installed with iWork 09 & Logic Express 9 =D
I recieved an e-mail with my tracking number yesterday and just wondered if any of you could tell me how accurate Apple's estimated delivery times are ... Apple says it will be delivered on the 29th ... I actually hoped it would be arriving before christmas but I know im not the only person who buys a Mac at this time of year so ...

I was also wondering if anyone could suggest some good speakers for the laptop ... I was considering getting some BOSE one's but everyone seems to be against them !! Any speakers which I could also dock my iPod touch into would be a plus !!

Thanks

Sorry the reply took so long, i've been having connection problems =(

The main use will be for music production ... but i'll be using it for a little photo editing etc
I needed the portability (I'll be taking it around campus with me) instead of the iMac, this was the next best thing!

& Merry Christmas =D

My Mac came on the 24th, the perfect christmas gift =D
... However im sending it back for a replacement, took it to the apple store today and he said you can just phone apple up and they will replace it with a new one !

There is a sound of scrunching paper coming out of the left speaker, like a short in a wire or something!
& my logic express demo wont play tracks because it says my my CPU has overloaded or my memory is too slow ... There's nothing on the computer =S and its top spec
Other than that its an awesome machine ... does anyone know if apple will give me a replacement if I tell them my circumstances ?

They will either fix it or replace it. I wouldn't worry. They will make it right.
