It could be a problem with the LCD on the machine. Im not sure how those LCDs are but some PCs use a cathode on the top and bottom, if one of those goes out it could cause the screen to appear very dim. There could also be an issue with the inverter board or something.
DO you know anyone else with a powerbook g4? |
