Anyone else get this update recently?

The Superdrive update said it was suppose to stop the noise the drive makes when booting the computer.

But mine still makes the same noise... anyone else notice if their superdrive no longer makes the noise?

Applied it to my wife's Late 2008 Unibody MB. It didn't do anything, which I expected. My thought was to apply it so I don't have to spend 20 minutes on the phone with support (installing the 3.0 firmware) when the drive finally stops running.

I installed on my iMac (09)model and noticed that the drive doesn't make the noise anymore when I wake it from sleep but it does when I turn it off and then restart. I haven't installed on my uni-macbook yet.
