suggestions for screen res?

Mac Specs: 2.4ghz Macbook Pro, 16g iPhone 3G, ancient 80g iPod video

not sure of a better place for this

basically started running my 15" mbp on me 32" HDTV. i wanted to use a higher res and fit more on the screen, but when i do that some words get a bit too hard to read. not sure if i can fix this at all or not? what res is suggested for a 32" tv??

Suggested would be the native resolution of the TV.

im a newb lol. im guessing that would be in the specs of the TV?
