Just wanted to make sure it supported a 500GB HDD before I purchased one. I tried to do a search, but wasn't turning up any results. The specific HDD in question is this one. (link) I'm also debating on spending the extra money and just getting the 7200RPM.

I think I purchased this MacBook in May/June of 2008 if that helps. It was the white $1099 model.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Yes, your Macbook is more than capable of handling a 500GB hard drive. The one you linked to will work just fine, as will a 7200RPM drive.
