So I just recently bought a new MBP13. So far I really like it but I noticed that when I play the sims 3 (yes, you can make fun of me) it gets insanely hot and one time it even shut off while I was playing it. I'm not sure if it was because it got too hot or maybe it was the game? The game seems to run fine... so idk why it booted me off. The whole thing just shut off and I had to turn it back on.
Has anyone experienced this? And will the heat cause any interferences with anything? I'm still new with all of this so any input would help. Thanks. |

It's overheating, which is why it's shutting off. Make sure you aren't covering the vents, and or get a cooling pad. Games can be CPU and GPU intensive which generates lots of heat.
