That was quite an interesting read! Check to see if your credit card that you purchased it with will replace it! That's what he did.. man that bites

Will they take it back? It's "been damaged". I submitted a complaint to the Better Buisness Bureau today. Hopefully I can get rolling with this.

I confused, did you try to have it fixed at the Apple Store. It appears that you jump the gun, by going to the better business bureau, with trying the brick and motar store. You may have played your hand to soon.

I didn't buy it at the Apple Store, Apple HAD my laptop in their tech lab and examined it. Seems to me like I basically skipped the Apple Store and went directly to where the Apple Store would have sent it. So I think I may have saved some extra time and pointless work. (maybe I'm wrong here ) Well, whats the worse thing that could happen? I don't get my powerbook fixed, or I pay $1259?

I believe it is a big difference talking to a person face to face, than talking to a faceless person on the phone.

Also it should not matter where you purchase the hardware. You have an Applecare contract. I think the real problem is proving that you did not crack the screen.

Absolutly Can't wait to get it back, you don't realize how much you really like something till it is gone. I never thought I'd miss my PB that much, but dam, the one day I had it back before it got shipped back I was like whoa, this is more like it..and now it is gone again. I got my wireless network up tonight, can't wait to test it out with my PB
