Mac Specs: 15" mbp, too many ipods and other stuff
the only thing that looks different to my early 08 is the isight camera.

Just turn the darn computer on, go to the Apple menu, and choose "About this Mac".

p.s. About the iSight camera. It looks like it's some sort of "item" (sticker/label, etc.) covering it for someone who might be a bit paranoid that they are being watched!
