I have a MacBook Pro 1,1 with the 1st gen Intel Core Duo chip set.
It's been running hot - and I been trying to figure out why. I downloaded "smcfancontrol_2_1" and it says the left & right fans are 0 RPM. The FAQ for this applications says it is updated to run with Intel MBP. I do not have the Apple Hardware Test program for this system - I bought it 2nd-hand. I've looked on Apple Support site, and there are 5 or 6 AHT iso images - for the PPC systems. Does anyone know where I can download the AHT program for the MBP? I'd like to verify the fans are really dead. Of course, that might explain why it is running so hot. |
