MacBook Pro - Keyboard Freezes Up

Hello-My name is Joey-I've have a Mac Book Pro Early 08' Model - I have problems with my keyboard freezing up. The touchpad and my wireless mouse still work fine. Any ideas?? Also my computer has seemed to slow down considerably. I upgraded the ram to 4gb about 8 months ago but it runs slow. I have alot of photos in iphoto over 15K and over 2K songs in itunes. Plenty of hd space left. Any ideas thanks.

Try this,
Apple Portables: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

Has always helped me out when keys stop functioning, can also help out with many other things
