How to turn a Windows notebook into a Mac notebook?

I'm not sure if this is the right area on the forums, but it seemed the most appropriate. I chose MacBook Pro because that's the most similar type of Macbook to the notebook I'm going to get.

I am planning on buying a pretty beefed-up Windows-based notebook in the next year, and I want to change it to the newest Mac OS. I'll get Bootcamp or something on it eventually to also be able to boot into Windows 7 as well, but my question is, is it even possible for me to turn most sold-in-stores Windows notebooks into a Mac notebook?

I assumed that I could just format the drive and install the newest Mac OS, but I'm worried about the drivers for...well, everything on the notebook. Is there a particular company that makes notebooks with Windows and Mac drivers available?

Thanks for any help!

the simplest way is to walk into a apple store, turn your crap in, and walk out with a new macbook! It's as simple as that:)

If you're going to buy a PC just to turn it into a Mac, you obviously want to explore or already love the world of Mac. Buy a Mac. The extra money is well worth the ease of use and you will not be disappointed.

Because no one reported it until just now.

OP: Go fish. We don't talk about Hackintoshes here, in case you missed it ;)
