I've taken my 512 mb Micro SD card and plugged it into its Sandisk adapter, and for some reason it wont load onto my MBP. Im not sure if it may be the computer, because i have no other SD cards to try in the SD slot. Can anyone help?

Could be the adapter. I've had to send one back to the web seller I purchased it from because it was defective. If you have access to another machine, Mac or PC, see if it will mount there.

Regards.
