Just bought a second hand G4 powerbook. It needs a new battery. How do I know which model to buy?

Any help appreciated.

Well it would help us out quite a bit if you mentioned what model Powerbook G4 you have!

Apple released around 24 different models of the Powerbook G4.

That helps...but there still are about 4 models to choose from with the 1.67ghz processor.

What is the display size (15" or 17")?

what size screen, 15 or 17 inch?

Are you in the USA, Canada, UK or somewhere else?

I have found a good site for batteries in the UK

Go to the apple menu and select about this mac. Click more info and get the model number for your Powerbook

Then go to the following page and select the battery for your model number

yours should be a M9677LL/A or M9969LL/A

Apple PowerBook G4 15 Series Laptop Batteries

If you cannot locate the model number, use the macs info pane to get its serial number and paste it in to this site

Klantenservice: Serienummers
