I bought my MacBook Pro at the beginning of August. When we were purchasing, I went to the local University because I was told it would be cheaper to buy it there. I bought the cheapest one that they had, and it was cheaper because of the processor speed. When I bought it I was told that for $100 there won't be a noticeable difference.
A few days after I had it I realized that they keyboard wasn't lighting up when the lights were off. When I was first looking into an Apple I was told that the Macbook Pro Keyboards light up in the dark. I looked it up online and found that only certain processor speeds will light up the keyboard. Is there any way that I could get work done on my laptop to get the keyboard to light up? Or would I have to buy a new processor speed? And how much would it cost? |

Is this a MacBook or a MacBook Pro? Yes, the lower end Aluminum Macbooks (previous generation) did not come with a backlit keyboards. But the most current model (now called a MacBook Pro) has a backlit keyboard for all models.
Did you check to make sure that it is turned on? Go into a darkened room and tap F6 repeatedly. Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics! |

Affirmative.
Sorry about you getting laid off. You know, it could just as well be a mistake on their part. Just be nice... I hope they will help you solve the problem.
