would it be better to put ibook to sleep at night or shut it down? I use it everyday, all day during the day and evening.

My MBP runs daily and is put to sleep - Cmmd/Opt/Eject - each night then every 3 - 4 days i do a shutdown and restart cycle, which seems to keep things happy.
