I can't decide between the two!
MBP 13" 2.5ghz for 1500$ vs MBA 13" 2.13ghz for 1800$

i already have a powerbook g4. so essentially either one is better than what im using now. but i would like the super portability for the air... but is that worth sacrificing the specs? and inputs?

anyone whos is wiser on this topic, who is more experienced at macs have any inputs? any advice?

thanks all!

I'm not really a MBA fan...so my choice would definitely be the MBP...with one comment.

Personally I would "down-grade" the MBP to the 13" MBP with the 2.26 processor, 2 gig of ram, and 160gig hard drive for $1199...because I don't feel the faster processor, additional ram, and bigger hard drive is worth $300 bucks extra.

That's just me...if the extra $$$ isn't a problem...then get the 2.53 MBP.

Good luck,

- Nick

Yeah, especially when you can get 4gb of ram for like 50 bucks.

NOTE: Thread moved to appropriate forum. Not just anything goes in Anything Goes

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

For example: I need a portable computer...should I get a MacBook Air or a Mac Pro?

Wouldn't that be a silly "A vs. B"!!!

But...going with the "conventional wisdom" that "A vs. B" threads "normally" don't work...it would be fun to post this silly...

"I need a portable computer...should I get a MacBook Air, or a Mac Pro?"

...question, and see how things play out. If it actually turns out that it does work...then at least it would be proven that there are exceptions to the rule!

Food for thought on a Friday,

I really enjoy my MBA, and find it's very nice for 99% of what I do (including running VM's). I only break out the MBP for burning disks. Best of luck.
