I've been having a few problems with my macbook battery recently. If I close my screen at ~35%, wait a few minutes, and open the screen again, it will turn on, then about 2 seconds later the battery meter will drop to 0% and the computer will turn off.

Sometimes, I do not even have to close the screen. I have looked at my batter meter and it will drop from 30% to 0% right before my eyes.

I am right now in the process of calibrating my battery, because that is what Apple's website says to do. But will this solve the problem? Because that just makes the battery meter work properly. Will I have to purchase a new one? It is annoying having a short lasting battery.

I downloaded coconutBattery, it says my battery health is 87%. Its weird because my old powerbook g4 still has 87% health after ~ 5 years of owning it.
QUOTE Thanks
