MacBook Pro - Macbook Pro DVI to HDMI

I have a MBP and use FCP 7 for my video editing. I purchased a DVI to HDMI cable, does anyone have experience using this combination to view their video on a HD LCD TV?

I didn't have a DVI to HDMI cable, but a DVI-HDMI adapter dangling off the end of a DVI cable which in turn was connected to a DVI-MiniDisplayPort adapter that eventually went into the Macbook Pro.

Picture quality stunning - switch to the dedicated graphics for top notch but even with the less powerful adapter, HD playback was smooth as silk.
