Some one on my local craigslist posted an ad selling a Powerbook G4 (A1046) for 300. I immediately e-mailed him asking for the specs and the condition of the computer. The price seemed very low to me, but does anyone know what the normal price of this laptop would be? And what (A1046) means?

Thanks, Dylan.

They aren't worth much these days, a couple hundred maybe.
For a good way to start on price look here:

UPDATE!

I talked to the seller. She says it has a 15'' display, 1.67ghz processor, with 1gb of ram, and a 60gb HD. What do you think?

Go to the Mac2sell website like was already suggested, enter the specs, and see what you get!

From all of my dealings on craigslist that is a very good buy .. at least it is
in the market I am in .. just sold a 12" PowerBook G4 1Ghz for 275..

So. IMO Steal it while they still have it they are great machines and way
cheaper than the shiny new MacBook's or Pro's

But with that said .. It does depend on what you plan on doing with it.

Good Luck
