I have a MacBook Pro 2.0 GHz, 80 GB Hard Drive, 2GB of ram, that I bought in May of '06. Never had any major problems with it, although now it seems it will not turn on. When I try to turn it on you can hear the fans spinning, but the apple doesn't come up and load. Sometimes you'll hear the start up tone and it starts to load then the screen goes black again.
Any thoughts? |

Have you tried to boot the machine with your install media? If you can get it to boot with your original install media, run the Apple Hardware Test.
If you have another Mac available (yours or a friend's) try to boot your machine in Target Disk Mode from the good one. Regards. |
