Hello,

Just got my Macbook Pro 13 Inch - absolutely love it

I brought the base model with 2GB and I am planning on buying the ram separately from someone like Crucial. However, the best thing I think would be to upgrade the laptop to 4GB - however as I already have 2gb can I just buy another stick of 2gb from crucial and put that in the other slot. Or is the 2gb in my machine 2x 1gb. I know I can just open up and see but I only want to open the machine up when I really need to.
QUOTE Thanks

Typically the memory that comes with you machine is 2x1gb. You will need to buy 2 x2gb modules. Maybe see the memory you have on ebay.

Ok that makes sense, then I guess I am looking at this one:

4GB kit (2GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-8500 upgrades for Apple MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (13-inch DDR3) MB990LL/A Mid-2009 Laptop/Notebook, CT999660 from Crucial.com
