I have had my Macbook for about a year now and for the last 3 months or so, the fan will turn on very high even when I am doing the smallest things like opening ITunes. It has cut my battery life in half and it is also very loud in annoying when I am sitting in class.
Thanks for any help. |

It may be a hardware problem or could be something as simple as resetting the System Management Controller. (SMC) Try resetting the SMC first. Refer to the following Apple KB article to learn how: Link
If that doesn't resolve the problem and your machine is still under warranty or Apple care, make an appointment with Apple to have them look at it. Regards. |
