Okay guys this is my first post so sorry if this is a stupid question. I picked up the 13inch unibody Macbook 4 months ago. It's the $1,299 model, so when Apple announced the new Macbooks yesterday I was a little mad. I would have waited if I knew they were going to do this. The one I have just came out last October.
So my question to you guys is: Is it worth it to upgrade? You know sell the one I have a buy the new one. I don't need firewire or the SD port. |

No, and there will likely be an update to this one in another 6-10 months. So, even if you did get this one, you'll be mad again when the next one comes out.
This is, at this time, a never ending cycle and will continue to be until such time as tech has gone as far as it can and there is nothing new under the sun. The question I pose to everyone who asks a similar question is this: is there something in the new notebooks that you need that your current one doesn't have/can't do? If the answer is no, which you seem to have hinted at, then why bother? Important Links: Community Guidelines : Use the reputation system if you've been helped. My current Macbook more then meets my needs, so yeah I guess I don't need to upgrade. This is just my first Macbook and I figured it was the perfect time to buy one, because they just put out the new unibody ones. Well next time I'll just wait. |

If your Macbook is only 4 months old and works fine for you then why do you want to upgrade? Like bob said a new update should be around 6-10 months.
