Hello,
Today I got my first Apple computer, a 15" MacBook Pro. When I insert a movie DVD I hear the drive moaning after a few ticking sounds and then after some more moaning and spinning, it spits the DVD out. Coming from the PC world I expected it to play the movie when I insert the DVD but that is not happening. Is this normal behavior for the MacBook Pro? Am I doing something wrong? Not normal, it should either show up on the desktop or start playing depending on what you have set in preferences.
Is it an official DVD or one you've burned? If it's the latter it could just be that the Macbook doesn't like the media. Try a different disc, a shop bought film for example.
