Hello! I am completely new to Mac systems. I have had windows since i can remember, and I just bought my first macbook to replace my desktop pc. ( yay no more desks!!! )
I am so completely lost though.
What do I NEED to get for internet connection. I have been a dial up user forever, and would like to get rid of the dial up mode. What is the best way to connect to the internet with a macbook, preferring wireless.
I have also been an aol user since aol first came out. I don't think Mac's are good with AOL. I would like to use Yahoo. Where do I begin?!

It would be helpful if you told us where you are.

That way, people near your area can tell you which companies are best at providing broadband.

It's not as difficult as you think, any decent ISP will be able to provide decent support in setting up a hi speed wireless connection

Sorry to make that post so short, I was in a hurry. I'm on Marco Island, FL.
Embarq has DSL for a low price, and comcasts options are to high.
The other problem I realized I was having is none of my windows media files are acceptable on MAC. How can I convert these !?

The choice of a provider is up to you. Sometimes a provider that is less costly will be less reliable. I suggest you ask around first before deciding.

As for your Windows Media Files, download and install "Flip4Mac" from here. It's free.
