MacBook - Restarting/Reinstalling my Macbook

I'm looking to restarting my Macbook to its original factory settings. What is the best way to do this? I don't have the discs it came with - I bought it off my friend just over a year ago and he didn't give me the discs. I could get them if it requires it. Is there a way to reinstall my mac without these discs? What would I need to do? Thanks for any advice. |
