MacBook - macbook to tv audio problem

hello to everyone im trying to connect my macbook to my new sony bravia tv... a quick conection i did
i could get the video fine and good but then the audio wasn't working im using a mini to RCA cable and not getting the sound am i missing something. thank you

Yeah you are missing something. The Mini-DVI doesn't carry sound. You have yo use another cable for sound.

im using a cable that connects to the earphones entrance and then it has two more that suposse to go on the tv but not sound... what cable do i need to use for the sound to work?

My guess would be that you have the audio and video cables plugged into two different ports on the TV. The audio has to be plugged into the same port # as the video cable. ex. If the video is in Aux 1, the audio also must be in Aux 1.

Also check System Preferences / Sound and verify that the Output has changed to Headphones.
