I purchased a new MB unibody direct from Apple.
I would like to add Apple Care. I am American but live in Europe. I want to buy Apple Care through Amazon or EBay in the US, due to substantial savings compared to Europe (I did read the thread about Apple Care and EBay). I would like to have the package sent to my parents. Can I have them tell me the info over the phone for registering my Apple Care online? I have never purchased Apple Care, so I don't know what's in that little box they sell at the store. I am assuming it's a registration code and some documentation. The premium reseller wasn't able to answer my question entirely. |

Yeah, it's just a box with the registration code on it. There shouldn't be any problems.

You could even ask the seller to open the box and email you the code. Then you wouldn't have to involve a third party at all. |

Great. Thanks for the prompt replies.
If I were to sell my Macbook, how does one verify to an eventual buyer that Apple Care is indeed installed? If I had purchased it with the machine it would most likely be on the receipt, but since this is a purchase after I ordered the machine, is there a way to print out a warranty status or something similar? |
