I just go a 12 inch 1.5ghz powerbook, and wanted to know how far can I upgrade it. Right now it has 512mb RAM and an 80gb HDD. I would like to upgrade it as far as I can. I am about to order a new battery and Leopard for it, and would like to upgrade the hardware as much as I can while I'm at it.

And, since I am a PC guy, I am a little unsure about what to get. Does the RAM and HDD have to me mac specific, or does it use the same hardware as a pc?

THe hard drives are just portable ATA drives, and you just have to make sure you get the right spec ram

Awesome! thanks for the info. I was able to find out that this uses the same RAM ans one of my older window laptops, and was able to pull one of the 1gb cards out of that is put it in this. Now I have 1.25gb and it was free! YAY FREE UPGRADE!

Free is always good!!!

Maybe this counts as being "Green"...since technically you "recycled" the ram!
