Small issue with trackpad on late 08 macbook pro

Sometimes my trackpad will stop working for a few seconds, it seems to happen rather frequently and it gets very annoying after a while. Anyone know any fixes for this?

Have you guys try software update? I am sure there was an update for the track pads firmware. Mine is fine.

MacBook Pro 2.66Ghz i7. Mac Mini 2.26Ghz C2D
